Project: K.U. Heart Hospital
Architect: H.O.K. Design/Build
Application: Insulated steel stud cavity wall using Styrofoam Cavitymate Plus over exterior gypsum sheathing. By insulating the studs, you eliminate the transfer of energy through the wall, drasticly reducing energy costs and condensation wich leads to mold and mildew growth.
  • STYROFOAM extruded polystyrene insulation offers high moisture resistance and long-term R-value.
  • High compressive strength, easy to cut, install and store. 15-year thermal warranty. Reusable when membrane must be replaced. Meets UL1256.
  • May be installed directly on metal deck according to UL Construction 260 and 440. Any roofing membrane may be used, however, in some cases, a coverboard may be required between the insulation and the membrane for heat or chemical protection.
  • 48” x 96” boards available in 1" – 3" thicknesses with square edges. 24" x 96" boards available in 2”, 3” thicknesses with square edges.
