Hydrotech

Project: TWA Building, Kansas City, MO (Under Construction)

Application: This is a re-roof project using the 215mil fabric reinforced system. Upon completeion, it will feature approximatlely 12,000 square feet of extensive and 6,000 square feet intensive garden roofs, along with Ipe wood roof tiles for a total square footage of 42,000.

Our hot rubberized asphalt membrane allows for ease of detailing and compensates for imperfections in the substrate, be it vertical or horizontal.
By adding a fabric reinforcement, it allows the membrane to be more flexible and move with the building.
American Hydrotech, Inc.ý, is a recognized leader in the development, production and distribution of premium waterproofing and roofing products. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the company was founded in 1977 after acquiring the United States distribution rights for Monolithic Membrane 6125ý, a unique waterproofing membrane developed in the 1960’s by Uniroyal Ltd. In 1980, Hydrotech purchased the Construction Products Division of Uniroyal Ltd. in Canada, giving the company exclusive worldwide ownership for the manufacture and distribution of MM6125.
Today, Hydrotech’s flagship product remains Monolithic Membrane 6125ý, a hot fluid-applied, rubberized asphalt for waterproofing and roofing applications. MM6125 is thick, seamless, easy to detail and bonds tenaciously to the substrate. The product has been in the marketplace for 40 years, with an unsurpassed performance history.
In 1989 Hydrotech introduced the Ultimate Assemblyý for plazas and roof terraces. The Ultimate Assembly consists of everything from the structural deck up...MM 6125 membrane, Hydroflex protection sheet, Hydrodrain drainage composite, STYROFOAM insulation and Architectural Pavers, pedestals and supports. Hundreds of Ultimate Assemblies have been installed to date. In 1997, Hydrotech, in conjunction with ZinCo GmbH of Germany, introduced to the United States, the Garden Roof Assemblyý, a unique, lightweight assembly for transforming underutilized roofs and plazas into beautiful landscaped and recreational environments.
